Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Last Updated: January 2026
Welcome to AV Intelligence. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the relationship between AV Intelligence (“we,” “our,” or “us”) and our clients regarding the use of our website and the provision of our engineering-led audio-visual, lighting, and automation services.
1. Engineering-Led Engagement
AV Intelligence provides bespoke, integrated environments.
-
Scope of Work: The specific services and hardware provided are strictly defined by the confirmed quote or confirmed agreement.
-
Design Integrity: As an engineering-led firm, we prioritize system performance and architectural intent. Any modifications to the design or equipment list requested after project commencement may result in additional engineering fees and hardware costs.
2. Hardware & Manufacturer Warranties
It is important to distinguish between the hardware components and our integration services:
-
Manufacturer Warranty: All hardware (e.g., speakers, projectors, processors, lighting modules) is covered strictly by the original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM) warranty. AV Intelligence does not provide an independent warranty on third-party hardware. Please note that OEM warranties are specific to the original installation and are non-transferable.
-
Warranty Commencement > Manufacturer warranty coverage for all hardware (e.g., speakers, lighting modules, and processors) officially commences upon the date of Physical Delivery or Project Handover, whichever occurs first. This ensures that the equipment is protected from the moment it enters the project environment.
-
Facilitation: During the initial handover period, we will facilitate warranty claims with the manufacturer on behalf of the client.
-
Exclusions: Warranties typically do not cover damage caused by "Acts of God" (lightning, power surges), unauthorized tampering, or environmental factors (moisture, dust, lack of ventilation).
3. Service Labor & Maintenance
-
Labor Coverage: While a manufacturer’s warranty may cover the cost of a replacement part, it generally does not cover the labor required to diagnose, remove, transport, and re-install that part.
-
Service Fees: On-site technical support and warranty-related labor are billable at our standard hourly rates unless the client is covered by an active Maintenance & Support Agreement.
-
Handover Period: We provide a limited complimentary "burn-in" support period (as specified in your proposal) to ensure system stability immediately following installation.
4. System Performance & Environment
-
Calibration: Systems are delivered as fully engineered environments, validated through structured commissioning.
-
Acoustics & Infrastructure: Final performance is subject to room interaction and site conditions. We are not responsible for performance degradation caused by structural changes made to the room after our calibration is complete.
-
Network Stability: We design robust network architectures, but we are not responsible for service interruptions caused by the client’s Internet Service Provider (ISP).
5. Ownership & Site Readiness
-
Title of Goods: All equipment remains the legal property of AV Intelligence until the final project invoice is paid in full.
-
Site Preparation: The client or their lead contractor is responsible for ensuring the site meets the technical requirements (power, ventilation, and cabling pathways) specified in our engineering designs prior to our arrival for installation.
6. Limitation of Liability
AV Intelligence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages—including loss of data or system downtime—arising from the use of third-party hardware or software. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service or project in question.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore or Malaysia, depending on the legal entity through which the project is contracted.
